Dear students,
The University of Oregon is committed to creating an engaging academic and work environment for students and employees of all faiths and religions. And we recognize that observing certain religious holidays may require students to miss school or work, or to seek flexibility with assignments, exams, or schedules.
|
To request a religious accommodation, please review the Religious Accommodations webpage and submit a Student Religious Accommodations Request form. A staff member from the Office of Equal Opportunity and Access will assist you. Students are required to submit requests no less than 14 days ahead of an anticipated absence to ensure sufficient processing time. However, for holidays that fall less than 14 days from today, kindly submit requests as soon as possible to ensure a timely response.
For the 2026–2027 academic year, major observances that may impact class attendance include:
|
-
Sharad Navratri (October 11, 2026)
- Vijayadashami/Dussehra (October 20, 2026)
- Diwali (November 8, 2026)
- Ramadan (February 7–March 9, 2027)
- Eid al-Fitr (evening of March 9–March 10, 2027)
- Lent (February 10–March 28, 2027)
- Good Friday (March 26, 2027)
- Easter Monday (March 29, 2027)
-
Passover (evening of April 21–evening of April 29, 2027)
|
Please note that this is not a comprehensive list of religious accommodations and that students are welcome to request religious accommodation for any religious holiday.
|
