UO EVENTS
  • Enjoy free s'mores at the Outdoor Program's open house tonight 5:00–7:00 p.m. and sign up for this weekend's biking, kayaking, and hiking adventures around Oregon.
  • Celebrate your first week with free ferris wheel rides on the EMU Green all day Friday, Oct. 4.
  • Meet employers from on and off campus at the Hire-a-Duck Part-Time Job Fair 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8 in the EMU Crater Lake Room.
  • Visit the Rec pool with the Outdoor Program Wednesday, Oct. 9, and hone your kayaking skills. Only $10 with all equipment included.
  • Connect with fellow Ducks and win Duck Bucks during Bingo and Trivia Nights every Wednesday in the EMU, starting Oct. 9.
  • Get involved with the UO rock climbing community and learn basic safty and climbing techniques with the Rec's Route Setting Clinic on Wednesday Oct. 9, 6:00–8:00 a.m.
IMPORTANT INFO
  • All incoming students must attend Get Explicit, the UO's sexual violence prevention training, this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 5 and 6. Find your mandatory Get Explicit session time
  • There's still time to change your schedule! The last day to drop a class without a "W" is Oct. 5 and the last day to add a class is Oct. 7.
  • Starting this fall, all UO dining locations are switching to reusable plates, bowls, and silverware. Disposable plastic straws and utensils will be available on request.

  • PE and Rec is hiring student officials for intramural flag football, indoor soccer, and volleyball. Learn more at the informational meeting tonight, Oct. 3, 6:00–7:00 p.m. in SRC 39.
  • UO is partnering with the nonprofit JED Campus to improve students' wellbeing. Sign up for the student mental health focus group Thursday, Oct. 10 to share your perspective.
  • Let's Talk, the Counseling Center's newest service, offers informal drop-in hours with mental health counselors every weekday at locations across campus.
  • This year's incoming class is the largest in UO history and set new records for academic achievements and diversity.

  • Ducks After Dark kicks off their fall movie schedule with Avengers: Endgame tonight, Oct. 3 in the EMU Redwood Room at 8:15 p.m. Free.
  • Ralph Steadman: A Retrospective opens at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art with a reception tomorrow, Oct. 4, 5:00–8:00 p.m. Free with a UO student ID.
  • Relax with games, crafts, and refreshments in the LGBTQA3 Alliance Office, EMU 022, every other Wednesday, starting Oct. 9 from noon to 2:00 p.m. for LGBTea Time
  • Explore Latina identity, feminism, hair removal, and what it means to belong with a slam poetry performance by Melissa Lozada-Oliva Wednesday, Oct. 9, 4:00–5:00 p.m.
