Star Educational Media Network files an FCC application to move tower sites for their Fort Wayne translator W204BF (88.7fm, Fort Wayne) from a Clairmont Court tower near Butler Road (which they share with several other broadcasters) to the Hillegas Road tower where Star's Contemporary Christian/WLAB (88.3fm, Fort Wayne) resides.
Northcentral
Talking Stick Communications' News/WRSW (1480am, Warsaw) has an FM translator on 99.7fm: W259BJ. Talking Stick files an FCC application to move tower sites for W259BJ. At present, the W259BJ translator antenna is on a pole in downtown Warsaw. The application proposes moving that antenna to the tower of sister Classic Hits/WRSW-FM (107.3fm, Warsaw) on the west side of Winona Lake (the lake, not the city). This move would also increase the translator's power from 170 watts to 250 watts.
Central
Emmis files an FCC application to move tower sites for their Sports/W228CX (93.5fm, Indianapolis) from the Post Road tower site on Indy's east side to the tower site of Emmis' sister Country/WLHK (97.1fm, Shelbyville) on E. Southport Road, southeast of I-465, in between I-74 and I-65. This move would also increase the translator's power from 2 watts to 250 watts.
On Saturday, IRW took a day trip to Indianapolis and listened to Big Car Collaborative Radio's Variety/WQRT-LP (99.1fm, Indianapolis) and the relatively new 250 watt W244DN FM translator at 96.7fm for Heritage Christian Radio's Religious/WBRI (1500am, Indianapolis). We also tuned across the Indianapolis radio dial, and listened to a few radio stations we enjoy.
