Happy Birthday, Swasey Chapel!
The highest point on campus, Swasey Chapel, has united generations of students at Denison. Today, April 18, is Swasey’s 100th birthday! We will celebrate this true campus icon all year long with special events planned over Reunion Weekend (May 30 - June 2) and Big Red Weekend (November 1 - 3). 2024 Academic Awards
Last week, Denison hosted the Academic Awards Convocation, an annual tradition that brings together students, alums, faculty, and staff to honor the achievements of today’s campus leaders. The convocation includes the presentation of:
- Endowed chairs and professorships.
- Faculty awards for leadership, excellence in teaching, mentorship, research, and scholarship.
- Prestigious student fellowships and awards.
- The President’s Medal.

| One priority of Denison’s recently launched strategic plan for Alumni & Family Engagement is to support the professional journey of all Denisonians. By creating opportunities for connections among students and alums, we seek to foster relationships that spark conversations, fuel inspiration, and bolster professional resources.
That ethos inspired us to host ReMix + Women, a remarkable two-day event earlier this month centered around personal growth and connection. Featuring keynotes, fireside chats, candid conversations, deep-dive workshops, and plenty of time for relationship building, this summit connected women alums with each other and students, all with an eye toward the future. The event also served as the debut of Four Forward, Denison’s new women’s philanthropy initiative.
The impressive lineup of speakers included:
