We look forward to celebrating our graduates at Iona University's 82nd annual Undergraduate and Graduate Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 15, 2026, on Iona's New Rochelle campus. 

The online store to order your academic regalia is now open! Please see details below and place your order as soon as possible to ensure enough time for shipping.

The online store to order your cap, gown and additional academic regalia is now open! Place your order now to ensure enough time for shipping! You may choose to ship your order home or pick up your order at the Commencement Fair on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. Please see deadlines below. 

Iona covers most of the cost of your cap and gown, with the exception of approximately $25 depending on state and local tax rates. You also have the opportunity to purchase additional graduation regalia when you place your order.

If you have completed all the steps to order your regalia correctly, you will receive an email confirmation that your order was successfully placed – please keep this handy. 

All graduates are required to wear appropriate academic regalia. This includes a cap, tassel, hood and gown. For additional information about what to wear and regulations on Commencement attire, please visit the Commencement FAQ.

Important Deadlines:

Congratulations to our anticipated December 2025 graduates! We look forward to your participation in the May 2026 Commencement ceremony.

Please note that Iona email accounts of December graduates will remain active through Commencement and will be included in all Commencement-related email communications.

All anticipated graduates are expected to frequently check their Iona email and the Iona Commencement page for updated information. Congratulations on your achievements! 

Did you know that all undergraduate and graduate students MUST apply for graduation and degree conferral as they approach completion of degree requirements? APPLY TODAY!

Degree candidate forms must be completed in order to receive a physical copy of your diploma and ensure that you will be able to participate in the May 15 Commencement celebration.

When completing your degree candidate form, please make sure that your home address is updated so that your diploma is mailed to the correct place. Also be sure to check the correct spelling of your name as you want it to appear on the diploma and in the ceremony.

*Degree conferral occurs after you have completed all course and administrative requirements. All graduates will be recognized during Iona University's annual Commencement Ceremony on May 15, 2026.

Honors Convocation
Thursday, May 14, 10 a.m.
Hynes Arena

This event celebrates invited graduating students who have received a departmental award, are members of the Honors Program, and/or have been inducted into an honor society. Please note that Latin Honors Distinctions based off of GPA are not recognized at this ceremony. A reception will follow at noon in Mulcahy Gym.
