With NSF grant, research team to develop spectrum sharing testbed

Researchers at Notre Dame have been awarded a three-year, $1.5 million grant from the U.S. National Science Foundation to develop a data platform to enable measurements and experiments in the electromagnetic spectrum.

The U.S. Department of Commerce and its Economic Development Administration have announced $51 million in federal funding to support the implementation of a Regional Technology and Innovation Hub that includes Notre Dame among its members.

Implantable LED device uses light to treat deep-seated cancers

Engineers and scientists at Notre Dame have devised a wireless LED device that can be implanted. This device, when combined with a light-sensitive dye, not only destroys cancer cells, but also mobilizes the immune system’s cancer-targeting response.
