Big shout out to Ryan Balber with the Virginia Higher Education Procurement Consortium (VHEPC) for presenting at this year's event. Ryan's presentation on VHEPC's partnership with VendorPanel highlighted savings and ease of use in getting vendor quotes. 

VendorPanel is a centralized online quoting tool designed to streamline the quoting process. Through the platform you can issue and receive electronic Requests for Quotation (RFQs) from contracted providers. All quotes are based on the negotiated pricing established through the RFP process, allowing you to easily compare prices across multiple contracted suppliers. To access please go to this weblink: VP Signup

GovSpend is a comprehensive government procurement data and analytics platform that helps public sector agencies make smarter procurement decisions. The platform provides detailed insights into spending, bids, RFPs, and contracts, along with information on cooperative purchasing and sole source opportunities. Users can access in-depth purchase order data—including line-item details—from state, local, and education (SLED) organizations. GovSpend also offers real-time visibility into open solicitations and historical bid postings, as well as up-to-date information on active contracts, contract holders, and expiration dates. Department names have been updated in buyW&M and are now based on the Workday Cost Center name associated with the user's profile. You may now see a different Department name than before. Please reach out to buywm@wm.edu if you have any issues with the assigned Department name. 

Example:

Please only submit a Speaker or Independent Contractor Contract Request once the buyW&M registration shows a Registration Status of “Approved”.  There is information that is used from the registration profile to complete the contract.  Please reach out to buywm@wm.edu for assistance with getting your contractor registered if they are unresponsive or having issues completing.  Contract requests submitted with a non-approved registration status will be returned and asked to be resubmitted once the profile has been approved.

Please do not report emails being sent from support@sciquest.com or DATA@jaggaer.com to IT for potential phishing or cyberattacks.  These emails are legitimate and are associated with various system generated email notifications sent from buyW&M.

Please remember not to copy and re-use old America To Go (ATG) orders created prior to the implementation of Workday. ATG orders placed pre-Workday do not contain the updated accounting details and will not route to the correct approver for order approval which may cause order delays. Questions?
