April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. As part of the YMCA's commitment to protecting the children in our community, we're participating in the Five Days of Action® — a week-long campaign to increase awareness of child sexual abuse and empower and equip us all to prevent it. By taking part in this important campaign and implementing abuse prevention practices year-round, the YMCA of Metro Denver is committing to the safety of all children in our community.

My name is Maggie Carlson, and I've been a proud YMCA member since 2017. What I love most about the Y is its amazing sense of community. When my daughter participated in the "Play to Learn" program, we met some of our closest friends, and those relationships remain so special to us. I've enjoyed a variety of classes, especially Pilates Reformer, and my family has taken full advantage of everything the Y offers, from swim lessons and day camps to relaxing in the sauna. The Y is more than just a gym; it's a place where connections are made, memories are built and people of all ages thrive together.
