This newsletter illustrates the importance of stakeholder partnerships, both individual and corporate, that help us maintain a vibrant research and academic enterprise.
The 3rd annual Harriet and Jerry Dempsey Research Conference was held earlier this month to enhance the collaboration between Clemson University and Prisma Health–Upstate. It is made possible by the generosity of Jerry Demspey, who graduated from Clemson University in 1954 with a mechanical engineering degree.
One of our corporate partners, GE Power, dedicated three advanced machines and a new lab in the company’s Greenville-based Advanced Manufacturing Works for use by Clemson students, faculty and staff.
Mike Mansuetti, Bosch's president for North American operations and valued alumnus, discussed the important relationship between Bosch and Clemson in an article that appeared in Automotive News.
All of our partnerships are symbiotic – they help us fulfill the research, educational and talent development mission of the college, while we provide cutting edge research opportunities, emerging technologies and bright, productive engineers and scientists. It is a win-win for all.
Sincerely,
Anand Gramopadhye, Dean
