Late summer/early fall is a time Literacy Volunteers experiences a slow down in funding due to grant schedules. Consider making a gift now to help us get through the fall season. Your tax-deductible donation ensures we can continue to provide much-needed services to the adults in our community. Thank you!

It's Time to Celebrate our Students!

Our annual Student Achievement Ceremony will take place on Thursday, November 2 at 7 PM. Students will be recognized for their hard work and commitment to improving their lives.
The celebration will take place in the Jefferson School African-American Heritage Center, located down the hall from the Literacy Volunteers office. Family and friends are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served after the ceremony.
Please let us know if you plan to attend by RSVP'ing online or at the Literacy Volunteers front desk.
Join the tenants of the Jefferson School City Center on Saturday, October 28th 12 PM – 2 PM for a ghouling great time at a Haunted Open House! University of Virginia Service Fraternity Alpha Phi Omega is putting on this haunted event.

Come walk the dark, terrifying hallways of the historical school and trick or treat with all of our resident organizations. There will be Halloween activities for the children, mummy wrapping, pumpkin games, music and more.
