Screen recording is useful for tasks like making tutorials, showing software to students, and capturing a presentation. Both Microsoft Windows and Apple macOS have screen recorders available. So you don’t need to download any software.
Both the Windows snipping tool and the macOS screenshot app are opened with a keyboard shortcut. For Windows it is Windows logo + Shift + S. For macOS it is Shift + Command + 5. You can then choose to take a screenshot (image) or screen record (video).
To share recordings with students, please upload them to Panopto.
