Good Evening:
Northeast
If you watch local news on "ABC 21" or "Fort Wayne's NBC," you may have noticed two new faces. Quincy Media owns WPTA-TV (Channel 21, Fort Wayne), where ABC21 is on their main channel, while "Fort Wayne's NBC" is on their .2 digital subchannel.
After two years, David Stradling exited as weekday morning/midday meteorologist at ABC21. Succeeding Mr. Stradling is meteorologist Nick Marusiak, who last worked in Fargo, North Dakota, as a meteorologist at WDAY-TV.
At Fort Wayne's NBC, IRW already you about several changes within the Sports department:
First, Sports Director Adam Shear moved into an early morning co-anchoring role on "Fort Wayne's NBC Today" (alongside Julian Teekaram). That happened a few months ago.
Second, sportscaster Chris Ryan earned the promotion to Sports Director (again, a few months ago.)
Fort Wayne's NBC recently added new weekend sports anchor and sports reporter Megan Salle, who last worked as a sports reporter in Paducah, Kentucky at WPSD-TV. Ms. Salle joined "WPSD Local 6" earlier this year.
Northcentral
Two years ago, Veronica Ortega left Lincoln, Nebraska, where she had been a reporter for KLKN-TV. She subsequently joined Sinclair Broadcasting's CBS affiliate/WSBT-TV (Channel 22, South Bend) as a reporter. Today, Ms. Ortega announced on Facebook that she will leave WSBT-TV at the end of this week, and that her next job will be in the Fort Smith, Arkansas market. On December 17, Ms. Ortega will join as evening anchor and reporter at Tribune's CBS affiliate KFSM-TV (Channel 5). KFSM-TV also does a local newscast for their MyNetwork TV sister station: KXNW-TV (Channel 34, Eureka Springs).
Central
Radio One's CHR/WNOW-FM (100.9fm, Speedway) morning show "The Joe and Alex Morning Show" (Joe Pesh, Alex Clark, Liv the Web girl, and "Porkchop") will also air on Radio One sister station KROI in Houston, Texas ("Radio Now 92.1").
Brittany Menendez becomes the PM content manager at E.W. Scripps' ABC affiliate/WRTV-TV (Channel 6, Indianapolis). Ms. Menendez last worked in Tampa, Florida as a Senior Producer at WTSP-TV. Ms. Menendez joined WTSP-TV in 2011.
