Our Redesigned Website Helps You Find Resources Faster!

We have responded to user feedback and revamped the Council's website to make information easier to find and more up-to-date.
The new website is more streamlined so that material is more accessible -- the majority of resources can now be accessed in only a few clicks. We also have improved and will continue to improve the search function, and have been removing and reorganizing older and less relevant content.
The redesigned website will allow us to grow and adapt to the changing needs of users. Visit www.nhchc.org to see our changes and learn more about all the Council has to offer!

Upcoming Webinar Will Explore Trauma-Informed Environment in Medical Respite

Medical respite care provides a safe place for healing and recovery from acute health care events for people experiencing homelessness. Within these programs, providing trauma-informed care is essential. A critical element of trauma-informed care is providing a safe and healing environment, one that is accessible, comforting, and promotes recovery.
On Wednesday, July 27, join us for Trauma-Informed Environment in Medical Respite. This webinar will provide an overview for creating a healing environment within medical respite programs, applicable to all programs with a variety of resources and clients served. Additionally, there will be an open discussion to answer questions and share which strategies programs already have been implementing.

The Council is growing and looking to fill three positions on our team:
- The medical respite coordinator will work with the medical respite manager on projects of the National Institute for Medical Respite Care and the Respite Care Providers' Network. (Learn more.)
