The academic year has begun! This month's newsletter includes a reminder about current COVID-19 campus protocols, information on student voter registration, highlights from fall move-in, and more.
Reminders
COVID-19 health and safety protocols continue to be observed on campus.Students returning to campus were sent updated instructions about campus COVID-19 requirements and recommendations. Masks continue to be recommended indoors in shared spaces.
Free PCR testing, rapid antigen testing, and face masks are available on campus. Students are strongly encouraged to make use of these free tests for routine checks and/or if they detect any COVID-19 symptoms.
Encourage your student to register (or re-register) to vote! Students who are at least 18 years of age and US citizens are eligible to vote. We encourage all students who are eligible to participate in this important civic duty.
UCSB students are able to access the online voter registration application through the UCSB Gaucho On-line Data (GOLD) system, or directly at: https://castudentvote.org/as long as they possess a California driver license or identification card number.
Re-registration is necessary if the student has moved since they first registered. More information can be found at UCSB's Voter Registration website.
