Valor Stories

Back-to-School Week

Valor welcomed students back on campus for the first full day of classes on Thursday, August 20.
At the first chapel of the year, Senior VP of spiritual life Rocky Holloway, led the student body in a presentation of "faith over fear". Students who were on PRT were invited to an in-person, physically-distanced chapel while students in Red period classes watched via live stream.
Valor’s summer musical kicked-off this weekend and will conclude with two final performances on Saturday, August 29. Fall athletic programs - softball, cross country, tennis, and golf - continued to train for upcoming competitions.
Speaking Up for Success
Jesca Gilbert '21 didn't have a traditional path to Valor, but determination and hard work took her to the national stage.
Boys Golf Off to Hot Start
As one of the few sports competing in the fall season, boys golf has banded together to start strong.

Campus Announcements

Last Week's Senior Welcome

Valor seniors welcomed students back to campus with great exuberance and excitement - so much so that social-distanced guidelines were not followed. This presented us with an educational opportunity to dialogue with our students on the importance of mask-wearing, social distancing, and good hygiene.
We are all looking forward to an amazing year of in-person learning, but it's dependent upon all of us doing what we need to do to maintain a healthy campus. We commit to do all we can while students are on campus and entrusted in our care.

Course Change Requests

Course Change Requests are due by Friday, August 28 at 3:00 pm. A course change is not guaranteed, as there is limited space available. Regardless of submitting a course change request, students are expected to attend all classes until they have been notified by their Counselor that a change has been made to their schedule. If you would like to request a change, please fill out the appropriate form:

Senior "V" Photo Rescheduled

Due to physical distancing restrictions, we will wait until spring to take the "V" picture. We are hopeful that we will be able to gather together at that time.
However, seniors should still plan meet at the Commons at 8:30 am on Tuesday, August 25 to grab a burrito and spend some time with your prayer partner somewhere on our beautiful campus.
