Opening of the Academic Year Mass is today in Purcell Pavilion

All faculty and staff members and their families are warmly invited to gather for the Opening of the Academic Year Mass, which will begin at 5:15 p.m. today in the Purcell Pavilion of the Joyce Center. University President Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., will preside.

New vice president joins Office of Public Affairs and Communications 

Pedro Ribeiro, senior vice president for communications and public affairs at the Association of American Universities, has been appointed vice president for public affairs and communications. Ribeiro will assume his new duties on Oct. 2.

Founding Keough School of Global Affairs dean to step down

Scott Appleby, the Marilyn Keough Dean of the Keough School of Global Affairs, has announced that he will not seek reappointment when his second five-year term ends June 30. An international search will begin to identify a successor .

RCLC summer program offers South Bend students an academic boost 

While school was out for summer, kids attending a Robinson Community Learning Center camp got a jump-start on the 2023-24 academic year. Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) Teaching Fellows facilitated the program. ACE and RCLC are Notre Dame initiatives.
