Welcome     Grow     Serve    Celebrate

Youth-Led Worship Sunday, August 9
What a spirit-filled morning of worship! Thank you youth for sharing your story, thank you church for supporting our youth and making mission and worship experiences possible, and thank you parents for helping it all run smoothly. The light shines in the darkness and the darkness can never overcome it, so…..let’s pass it on!
If you missed the service, you can watch it in this link here.
Youth Ministry Volunteering
Want to volunteer your time, talents, or resources with the Youth Ministry? Take a look at our VOLUNTEER SIGN UP to see where you can serve, whether that's providing/covering a Sunday night dinner or hanging out with us as a chaperone.
Thank you to our wonderful volunteers! You keep our ministry alive.
Youth Host Diaper Shower for Anne Marie
Join us in prayer for Anne Marie, Cortez, and Tezzi as they prepare to welcome a new baby girl. Anne Marie's maternity leave will begin Sunday, August 23 with her expected return Sunday, October 18.
Sunday night, the Youth hosted a diaper shower for Anne Marie. A mountain of diapers magically appeared, cookie cake was devoured, and fun was had by all.
 An Invitation from Pack 164
Parkway Hills is the charter church for Pack 164. Every Monday night, both buildings are pretty full of scouts and we give thanks that because of your giving, we are able to provide a space for this ministry in our community.
Pack 164 would like to invite all who may be interested to their Scout Kick-Off Party this Sunday! They will have games, homemade ice cream and Dutch oven desserts, an inflatable, and possibly a fire truck.  (If you see a fire truck pulling in, it's not an emergency.) Come learn more about Pack 164, the Cub Scouts of Parkway Hills UMC.
Dear Church Family,

Bob and I feel we can never fully express our appreciation for all that has been done for us since my fall which broke my femur. You have reached out through your prayers, cards, visits and provided especially delicious food which more than adequately kept us fed.  Bob's main culinary skills are to turn the oven on, set the microwave, and operate the air fryer, but he is an excellent caregiver. All that you did for us helped him by taking the concern of food away from him.

We have always known that we are where God wants us to be, worshipping and working among this church family. You will always have a special place in our hearts and we especially thank you for being there when we needed you.

In Christ's love,

Darlene M. Roberts

Acolyte Training
Serving as an acolyte is one way our children aid in worship and grow and learn in their faith.  Acolytes remind us of Christ's presence by bringing in the light of Christ as we begin worship together.  As we prepare to depart, they remind us to carry Christ's light with us in the week ahead.  Children in 2nd through 5th grade are invited to join Jennifer in the worship center at 9:30 Sunday, August 23 to learn about this important part of worship and step into a new role within the life of their church.
