Avoid the burn.
It’s the height of summer when we’re enjoying the outdoors and catching some rays. But it’s vital to protect your skin from the sun, even on cloudy days. Taking the right measures today may help you avoid sunburn, wrinkles, and even skin cancer down the line. 
Use this simple checklist to stay sun-safe all summer:
  • Cover up. Wear hats, sunglasses, and clothing to protect you from the sun’s strong UV rays.

  • Use sunscreen. Go for SPF 15 or higher. Reapply every 40 to 80 minutes and after sweating or swimming.

  • Stay in the shade. Avoid the sun between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., when the sun’s rays are strongest. Head for shade whenever possible.

  • Check your skin. Every once in a while, look for spots that have changed size, color, shape, or feel. Talk to your doctor if you notice any changes.
