The Dr. Robert A. Savoie College of Engineering has named Timothy Couvilion '04 its Alumnus of the Year for 2024. Timothy and other overall and college honorees will be presented their awards at the UNO Distinguished Alumni Gala on November 7.

Education Day is coming up on Tuesday, November 19 at the UNO Lakefront Arena. The battery-operated car competition, hosted by the Dr. Robert A. Savoie College of Engineering, will take place during the UNO Women's Privateer Basketball Game at 11 a.m. vs. Southern Alabama.

2024 Cohort of Wind Scholars Announced |
The Wind Hub at UNO and the University of New Orleans have announced the second cohort of the Wind Scholars Program in Engineering. The students are all enrolled in the Dr. Robert A. Savoie College of Engineering. They are: Daniel Nagel (senior, naval architecture & marine engineering), Elizabeth Rupright (senior, electrical engineering), Issac Varghese (junior, naval architecture & marine engineering), Aviral Kandel (graduate, electrical engineering) and Otis Taylor (junior, civil engineering).

| Johan Sperling '01 has joined Vancouver, Wash., headquartered Tidewater Transportation and Terminals as its new Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
