Dear Colleagues,
2025 has been exciting so far at Valpo! The semester is moving quickly, and there has been increased activity with many faculty transitioning courses to Canvas.
In this edition, the CITAL highlights two areas of professional development in our blog about the “Visiting Faculty Fellows Program” and “The Perusall Training Academy.” As always, CITAL is here to support you in any way whether through on-demand live or Zoom help sessions, providing useful tips and tools, or migrating Blackboard content to Canvas. We remind faculty to publish their spring terms Simple Syllabi, and Quality Matters (QM) continues to be at our forefront, so we share two resources of support and include a link to the QM Higher Education Rubric.
Sincerely,
The CITAL Team (Ed, Gina, and Cindy)

The Visiting Faculty Fellows Program

The Visiting Faculty Fellows Program

Each year CITAL’s Visiting Faculty Fellows Program offers our visiting faculty a chance to enhance their CV by getting to know the work of one department or office on campus. We hope that this fellowship will give them a leg up, whether their future career path is here or elsewhere.  Each fellow gets a stipend of $500 to work for no more than two hours per week in a single area for the entire spring semester.
