Unique PeopleMade products handmade by individuals with disabilities from People Inc.'s Day Habilitation programs are available. Items include handcrafted wooden wine stoppers and wooden pens, silk scarves, hand painted wine glass sets and pillows. Each is lovingly hand-made and no two items are the same.

Movies that were featured at our last two Film and Speaker Series events are now available as DVDs to add to a moviegoers collection! Raising Matty Christian, a thought-provoking documentary is for sale. The film profiles the life of Matthew G. Christian, known as 'Matty' from the town of Canton, Massachusetts, who was born without full limbs and a tongue. The award-winning film is directed by Christian de Rezendes. Also available is Kelly's Hollywood, an inspirational film about a brother’s quest to help his sister fulfill her dream of becoming a Hollywood diva. The film was created by Buffalo native Brian Donovan.


Treat a child to the gift of reading with a book from our newest children's series: Mubu the Morph and Mubu's Christmas are now available. Mubu is the main character of this fun-filled series about individuality and lessons about self-confidence, suitable for children grades K to 3.
Our store is open during the Museum of disABILITY History’s regular hours, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 3826 Main Street, Buffalo. New Traveling Exhibit to be Unveiled in January
Community members are invited to attend an unveiling of our newest traveling exhibit, Dr. Skinner: Disability Educator, Advocate and Abolitionist, on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at 2 p.m., at Niagara Falls Public Library, Earl W. Brydges Building 1425 Main Street, Niagara Falls, NY. The interpretive exhibit immerses visitors in the experiences of Dr. Platt Skinner’s struggle for abolition in Niagara Falls, NY. Dr. Skinner established a school for African-Americans with disabilities in the shadow of the suspension bridge in 1860. The exhibit, produced through a generous grant from the Niagara Falls Area National Heritage District, will explore dozens of compelling and persuasive visual images.
