In 2011, when the university's Matador statue was unveiled, student leaders created a special tradition for students and alumni to commemorate significant achievements — including starting a new semester.

Monday, Sept. 2, Labor Day, is the last day to wait-list for fall 2024 closed classes. Permission numbers are required to add all classes starting Sept. 3.

Celebrate the start of the new academic year at the President's Picnic, hosted by CSUN President Erika D. Beck. Enjoy free food, music and spirited activities. The event happens on Bayramian Lawn (adjacent to Bayramian Hall) at two different times: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The CSUN Assistive Technology Conference, March 10-14, 2025, will offer pre-conference workshops focused on professional development through in-depth training and useful skill-building. Showcase your knowledge and expertise in assistive technology, accessibility and inclusion by conducting a pre-conference workshop. Submit a proposal now through Sept. 24, 2024.
