A BIG Thank You to NESA Volunteers!
We want to express our gratitude to all our volunteers who have worked tirelessly this summer! The past couple of months have been filled with action, and we're excited to share some updates on what’s been happening.
Move Back to Northgate: A huge thank you to the incredible group of volunteers who assisted in moving books, puzzles, yarn, office supplies, and much more back to Northgate from McClure Church. Your efforts have been invaluable as we settle back into our building.
Gardeners: We have two fabulous garden volunteers, Dale and Margit, who have helped keep our garden looking lush, green, and gorgeous, even during our year-long relocation and since we have moved back in. Thank you for helping keep such a beautiful outdoor space for all to enjoy!
Board and Committee Members: Our Board and Committee members have been busy determining our next steps and supporting staff as we transition back to Northgate.
Taste of Edmonton: In July, our fantastic Taste of Edmonton volunteers braved the summer heat to fundraise for NESA. Your dedication and hard work is truly appreciated!
Photographer: A special thank you to Doug who has donated his time and camera to help us capture all of the fun programs and outings the NESA community has participated in this past year.
Bingo: Our Bingo Volunteers have been actively supporting NESA at Kensington Bingo, one of our largest fundraising operations. Thank you for your continuous support!
Road Signage: A special shoutout to Connie, our Signage Volunteer, who regularly updates NESA’s road signs. We always look forward to our chats with her during these visits.
Fitness Centre: Since mid-July, we’ve welcomed back our Fitness Centre volunteers at Northgate. It’s been wonderful having their energy and support back at NESA!
Knitting from the Heart: Our Knitting from the Heart Coordinators, Colleen and Annelies, have been diligently organizing everything following the move. Thank you for keeping this important program on track!
Book, Puzzle, and Jewelry Sorting: Our volunteers have been hard at work organizing new and existing donations for the upcoming sale from August 23-25. We hope to see everyone there!
Handyman Maintenance: A big thank you to Bryan our handyman who has been on site here at Northgate to help with some of our miscellaneous projects as we prepare for our Fall 2024 season.
Bottle Drive Volunteers: Once a month our Bottle Drive volunteers have been collecting bottles to fundraise for NESA and have been so accommodating to the location changes in the last couple months. We are so happy to have you back at Northgate!
