Seeking Survivor Stories: Speak Out for Sexual Assault Awareness Month

The Haven Project is calling on any survivors of sexual assault to share their stories anonymously for the Virtual Speak Out on Wednesday, April 13. Stories can be submitted via a Google doc. Your story will be read on IUP’s YouTube channel to show support for victims and survivors of sexual assault.

Questions should be directed to the Haven Project at haven-project@iup.edu. We recognize that this is a difficult topic to talk about. Here are some resources if you need to reach out:

The ASC@IUP Tutoring Center was relocated over spring break! You can find us in a new location: B02 Stabley Library. You will need to use the main entrance to Stapleton Library to access the Tutoring Center after 4:30 p.m.

Welcome Back, Spring Sports!

Your IUP spring sports have returned from break and are slated to play several home games this week. Baseball has a home series Friday–Sunday, March 18–20, at Owen J. Dougherty Field on South Campus. Softball will play Saturday, March 19, at Ruth Podbielski Field, also on South Campus. Women’s lacrosse will play at home Tuesday, March 22, at George P. Miller Stadium. As always, admission for IUP students is free. Go Hawks!

Official Elite Eight Watch Party

Join MCSLE this Tuesday, March 22, at 6:30 p.m. for a Watch Party to cheer on the IUP Men’s Basketball Team in their journey for the DII NCAA title! We will watch the game on the big screen in Folger Student Center. Free refreshments will be provided.

If the Hawks win, we will hold another Watch Party on Thursday, same place, time TBA. Go Hawks!

Mac and Cheese, Please!

Calling all mac and cheese lovers! Join us on Tuesday, March 22, for SAND’s Crockpot Cookoff. The competition will be in the HUB Susquehanna Room from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. For $2 you can be a taster and vote for your favorite to win.

Been Away for Break? Get Tested for COVID-19 and Keep the Ball Rolling!

Have you traveled or been around large crowds over the break? Be paws-itive you didn’t pick up COVID-19 with a test through Health Service.

Free testing is available at IUP Health Service from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday–Friday. Walk-ins are welcome, or you can sign up for a day or time on MyIUP from the Health Service web portal. Results are typically available within 24–48 hours and are delivered to your IUP email.

Keep yourself physically and mentally healthy at the Center for Health and Well-Being.
