Flipped classrooms have been touted as the key to increasing student engagement for several years. But is it all it’s cracked up to be? Recently, a group of professors performed a meta analysis of 173 studies and 46 other meta-analyses on the flipped learning approach. Their research found that in many cases, the amount of passive learning in flipped classrooms actually increased.
