Rev. Daniel Groody, C.S.C., receives Vatican appointment

Pope Leo XIV has appointed Rev. Daniel Groody, C.S.C., as a member of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, the Vatican announced. Father Groody will continue in his roles at Notre Dame while serving the dicastery.

“To be called upon by the Holy See to serve in this capacity is a testament to Father Groody’s deep commitment to leadership in service of the most vulnerable among us. This appointment is also an affirmation of Notre Dame’s ongoing contributions to Catholic social thought, to integral ecology, and to forming leaders dedicated to the common good.”—University President Rev. Robert A. Dowd, C.S.C.

Spring Staff Town Hall featured University updates and panel discussion on well-being

More than 1,200 staff attended the town hall held across three 45-minute sessions. Executive Vice President Shannon Cullinan and Vice President for Human Resources Heather Christophersen provided updates, and attendees had the opportunity to practice stress management techniques.

Department of Theology ranked best in the world for the second consecutive year

The University has again been ranked as the world’s best theology, divinity, and religious studies program by the influential QS World University Rankings, beating out the University of Oxford, Harvard University, Durham University, and Boston College.
