This month, we're sharing exciting program updates, including our first Young Lung Virtual Forum, supportive resources for patients and caregivers, wellness and retreat opportunities, upcoming events, and ways to connect with the young lung cancer community.

Mark your calendars for the Young Lung Cancer Program Annual Patient Virtual Forum!
The forum will take place on Nov. 19 from 5-7:15 pm EST and on Nov. 21 from 10 am-12:15 pm EST.
This free virtual event will bring together experts, patients, caregivers, and advocates for two days of education, connection, and community. Attendees will hear the latest updates in young lung cancer research and care, learn from leading experts, and connect with others navigating similar experiences.

Free Oncology Massages in the Young Adult Lounge:
Young adult patients can experience the relaxation and comfort of a complimentary chair massage by a Leonard P. Zakim Center for Integrative Therapies and Healthy Living licensed oncology massage therapist in the HomeGoods Young Adult Lounge.
20-minute free sessions are available for young adult patients (ages 18-early 40s) at Dana-Farber on active treatment for cancer or a blood disorder or post-treatment.
These massages are held on Wednesday afternoons. Registration is required.

Send It Foundation offers multi-day outdoor adventures for young adults (ages 21-40) living with or beyond cancer. These trips create space to step away from treatment, connect with others, and enjoy time outdoors.
Programs take place in Lake Tahoe and the San Francisco Bay Area and may include activities such as mountain biking, skiing, surfing, climbing, and backpacking.

Mary’s Place by the Sea offers free wellness retreats for women with cancer, providing a peaceful space to focus on healing through supportive services, restorative activities, and self-care.
|

|
Annual National Conference on Work & Cancer
Cancer and Careers is hosting their annual virtual conference. This free, all-day event is designed specifically for cancer patients and includes informational sessions on balancing treatment and work, making disclosure decisions, managing side-effects at work,communicating effectively, and looking for work.
This annual conference brings together patients, survivors, caregivers, healthcare professionals, advocates, employers/HR, advocates and others touched by cancer to explore the complexities of balancing treatment and recovery with employment.

Connect With a Peer Mentor!
Cancer Hope Network offers free one-on-one peer support for patients, survivors, and caregivers. Connect with a trained volunteer who has faced a similar experience and can provide understanding, encouragement, and support along the way.
