UACS Summer programming is in full swing at week 4! Take a look below for some overview information. 
During the summer, the newsletter will be switching to a bi-weekly schedule. We look forward to sharing exciting UACS camp highlights with you every other week!

Virtual UACS Summer Programming

School District of Philadelphia Updates 

On June 30, Governor Tom Wolf signed Act 66 of 2021 (Act 66) into law. Act 66 permits students that were enrolled during the 2020-21 school year to repeat their grade level in an effort to make up for any lost educational opportunities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Click below to learn more.

WEST PHILLY HEALING CIRCLE

Gather outside with Maleata Ragin and Margel Overton, local wellness practitioners, and a live band for a summer of reflection and restoration.
Community members can relieve stress and anxiety with rotating wellness activities like reiki, yoga, acupuncture, and herbal medicine - all free of charge! Local musicians/performers are invited to join the jam session.

Neighborhood Advisory Committee Looking For Leaders

Are you looking to drive and make a change in our neighborhood?
Serve as a community leader on AchieveAbility's Neighborhood Advisory Committee!
This advisory committee partners with ACHIEVEability to:
· Help inform and develop programs and activities
· Identify needed resources for the community and residents
· Advocate to secure these resources and build a thriving community for all
· Plan community and volunteer events like Summer Jam and block clean-ups
