Hello, Gaucho parents & families!

As we prepare to wrap up the 2023-24 school year, we wish your Gauchos a smooth final exam and move-out process. This month's newsletter includes reminders for move out and the annual GIVE sale, Commencement resources, information on UCSB's alumni network, and more.

Reminders & Announcements

The GIVE Sale is an annual tradition in Isla Vista and offers students an opportunity to donate excess belongings while giving back to the community.

Since 1990, GIVE has accepted donations of unwanted and reusable clothing, books, furniture, household furnishings, kitchenware, canned and packaged foods, and miscellaneous items during Isla Vista and UCSB’s annual move-out time in June. The donations are sold at a giant sale and the proceeds benefit organizations and projects that improve the quality of life in Isla Vista. Click here for more information and for donation locations.
Move-out is around the corner, and we encourage your student to start planning now. Whether your student may need to find storage solutions or wants to donate items to a good cause, planning ahead helps reduce waste and stress at the end of the academic year. UCSB has partnered with Campus Storage and Storage Scholars to provide moving and storage services for UCSB students. Additionally, please remind your student to take their bike home! Bike abatement begins in July.
Congratulations to the UC Santa Barbara Baseball team on winning a fifth Big West Championship! The team will host an NCAA Regional for the first time since 2015 and will be the No. 14 national seed in this year's tournament. The Gauchos will open the tournament against the Fresno State Bulldogs at 6 p.m. PT on Friday, May 31. Catch the game on ESPN+ or check for tickets at ucsbgauchos.com.
