We’re happy to share that the Connecticut Department of Public Health has awarded us a grant to provide CATCH My Breath to eligible middle and high schools in select counties to build capacity for this important work. This includes program materials, all three training tiers, along with a dedicated youth service-learning project at no-cost. If you or someone in your network are interested and ready to engage, please fill out our form.

A new NIH-funded Randomized Control Trial study from UTHealth Houston found that students who participated in CATCH My Breath were nearly four times less likely to try vaping by 8th grade than those who did not. In November, we hosted a webinar featuring Dr. Mantey and Dr. Kelder, lead and senior authors on the study and consultants in national litigation against the vaping industry. During the discussion, we explored:
|
- What’s actually working to prevent vaping before it starts
- How districts are implementing CATCH My Breath at no cost
- Ways to bring new professional development opportunities and wellness resources to your team
|
If you missed it, don’t worry - the recording is available to watch anytime! |

We recently wrapped up our service learning project for students in collaboration with partners in New York City. Over the course of three competition rounds, using the artistic mediums of posters and videos, students created Public Service Announcements. Their PSAs highlight the creativity and powerful perspective that students bring to conversations about vaping prevention when they’re given the opportunity. Congratulations to the total 25 student winners!
