Jaipur Literature Festival this weekend
Sept. 15-17 at Main Library
For the third year, the ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival comes to Boulder as a creative caravan of writers and thinkers, poets and balladeers. The free festival includes literature, author talks, music, and culture, and promises to be an incredible event.

Showcasing South Asia’s unique and multilingual literary heritage and juxtaposing oral and performing arts, books and ideas, dialogue and debate, Bollywood and politics, this magical mystery tour is a 3-day teaser for the renowned Jaipur festival in India, which has been declared “the greatest literary show on earth.” The festival largely consists of interviews and panels addressing timely themes of local and international interest during which 2–4 authors converse with one another looking at the ideas and themes in their books as well as the process of writing, skillfully moderated by leading journalists and authors.
This year, the JLF will focus on examining the human experience through the reflections and imaginations of distinguished contemporary writers from across the globe. Learn more about all of the programs offered on the Jaipur Literature Festival website or follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

Recommended Read
The Book of Summer by Michelle Gable
"Summer isn't officially over yet. This is a story of a rabble-rouser mother trying to save a doomed home on Nantucket Island, and her daughter trying to save her mother. A century of living has taken place at Cliff House, all noted through entries in the Cliff House guest book. I chose this book as a summer read bringing to life a place I have never visited."

Overheard at the library
(Posted on the Boulder Public Library Facebook page as a review)
M.W.L. reviewed Boulder Public Library — 5 star
"I can't say enough good things about our library. Abundant daylight, openness, updated finishes, variety of seating and privacy - all create a positive space and energy. The programming of events, exhibits, and spaces (makers lab) is incredibly diverse and free. I'm grateful for their investment in the latest technology so I can have easy access to online resources, including Kayak, other ebooks, easy checkout, and other library locations (nobo). My husband and I are in our 40s and I tell him all the time that I want to live close to library until I'm gone. haha! It's true."
