New Fundraising Initiative Underway
A new fundraising initiative to benefit the Museum of disABILITY History is underway! A crowdfunding campaign on gofundme.com is available for people around the world to make secure donations to assist people and businesses to raise funds for their events and causes – our Museum of disABILITY History is now part of this national fundraising movement! Funds will benefit our experiential movie theatre and interactive exhibit for visitors, students and organizations to utilize. Donors will also help fund our new building addition to attract families and children.

We are excited to share that we have garnered support from celebrities, including Maria Shriver who posted on her Facebook page and Tweeted about our campaign. There are also videos from actors William Fichtner and Chris Burke sharing their support.

Mubu the Morph Children’s Book Now Available
Mubu the Morph, a rhyming adventure that empowers children to be themselves, ishttps://youtu.be/uG196DGa_vQ for sale at the Museum of disABILITY History! It’s the perfect book for children in grades K-3, and it provides lessons on self-image, self-confidence and character development. Mubu the Morph author Stephen Nawotniak and illustrator Jeff Scott Perdziak are representing the Museum of disABILITY at community events throughout Western New York. Book Presentation and Signing by James M. Boles, EdD
The Museum of disABILITY History will welcome our founder and author James M. Boles, EdD for a presentation and book signing on Friday, October 16, from 7 to 9 p.m. As part of our Dialogues on disABILITY Speaker Series, Dr. Boles will share insight about his book, They Did No Harm: Alternative Medicine in Niagara Falls, NY, 1830-1930. Dr. Boles will provide an overview of the book and his research.

The event costs are: $6 for adults, $3.50 for students, seniors and human service employees and free for Museum members. To register or for more information, call 716.629.3626.
Traveling Exhibits Available
Are you planning a conference or event for the fall and winter seasons? The Museum of disABILITY History provides a variety of disability themed traveling exhibits available to rent for conferences, events, colleges and businesses across the country.
