Professional, compliant advertising helps protect your business and reinforces the value you provide to clients. Before creating or distributing an advertisement, be sure your marketing follows Pennsylvania licensing law and REALTOR® trademark requirements.

Pennsylvania License Law
Pennsylvania law requires licensees to include the name of their employing broker and the broker’s main telephone number in all advertisements. The ad may also contain the licensees name and other phone numbers or contact information (email, websites etc.) but these cannot be larger than the name and number of the broker. They may be of equal size.

Team Advertising
When two or more licensees wish to form a team the team name must be the name of one of
the licenses on that team. For example, John Doe and Jane Smith may advertise themselves as the John Doe Team or the Jane Smith Team. They may not advertise as the Doe-Smith or Smith Doe team or use a fictitious name.

On Monday during Leadership Summit, the National Association of REALTORS® celebrated 25 years of the REALTORS® Relief Foundation with the dedication of a donor wall, located at REALTOR® Plaza at the NAR headquarters in Chicago. Approximately 70 people were in attendance for the dedication.

“I’ve personally had the privilege of being boots on the ground in hurricane-stricken areas, tornadoes, fires in my own backyard of Washington State. The impact is real, and we’ve seen it,” said Kitty Wallace, RRF Vice President, at the dedication ceremony.

“When disaster happens, people aren’t thinking about what they’re going to do tomorrow. They’re thinking about where they’re going to stay today, tonight, where their children are going to go after they’ve lost everything. And we are that little bit of hope,” she continued.

The foundation, which was formed by NAR in the aftermath of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, has provided financial support in both the immediate aftermath of natural disasters and throughout the recovery period that often follows. To date, RRF has put over $53 million in the hands of 50,000 families across 50 states and territories.

RRF operates as the philanthropic arm of NAR, and the association covers 100% of the foundation’s administrative expenses.

“It means every dollar donated goes directly to families in need,” said RRF President Greg Hrabcak. “It reflects NAR’s belief that giving back is not an accessory to our work; it is central to who REALTORS® are.”

Middletown Township issued a statement saying that Outrigger Industrial Acquisition LLC filed papers in Delaware County Court to withdraw its appeal challenging the land development application that was denied by the township. Outrigger officials claimed the project, which would have subdivided a 35-acre parcel from the Franklin Mint Redevelopment project to build a 330,000-square-foot logistics warehouse, was a “by-right project” that conformed to zoning and should be approved. Nearby residents of the Pond’s Edge and Franklin Station developments said the land was originally planned as a retail promenade not a high-volume logistics hub, which would bring pollution and noise from trucks. In 2025, the Middletown council unanimously denied the Outrigger application. The township said the circumstances behind the withdrawal and the statutory time clock mandate that any future proposed development on the site must follow current zoning standards.
