Good afternoon, neighbors -
On Saturday, March 22, the Community Relations office teamed up with students to welcome neighbors to AU's community gardening program. Dozens of folks, young and old, gathered to learn how to make homemade fertilizer, create seed packets, and prep their home garden for a beautiful new growing season. The garden's lead student manager, Kylie Bill, (Sr. Environmental Science major) led a tutorial for beginners and green thumbs alike, and each participant left with tips and tricks to start their own projects. Check out this event recap, featured in AU Now to learn more.

The AU Community Garden is open year round and neighbors are always welcome to drop by, do a little work, or harvest some produce. Group gardening sessions take place every Saturday at 12 noon. No sign up is required, just show up to the gardening space, located behind Katzen Arts Center on Nebraska Avenue.
Stay tuned and stay connected for more events that explore our campus and provide opportunities to engage with students.
