Huge thanks to our gracious host and Presenting Sponsor, Kenect Nashville! We had a wonderful time on their stunning private outdoor amenity deck, complete with breathtaking sunset views. It was fantastic to connect with both familiar and new faces at our annual Student and Resident Welcome Social.

We're thrilled to announce the launch of the "Bridging the Gap" Student and Resident Webinar Leadership Series, co-hosted by TMA and NAM. Starting today, October 2nd, at 6pm, continuing every Monday throughout October, this series promises to empower the healthcare leaders of tomorrow.

| October 9th is the Deadline to Appeal MIPS Data | |
Medical practices are urged to review 2022 MIPS performance feedback, to determine if there are errors before an October 9 deadline. This information will determine whether physicians will receive a positive, neutral or negative payment adjustment on Medicare services furnished in 2024.
The AMA has heard alarming reports of physicians facing MIPS penalties in 2024 for the first time since the program started. If your review identifies errors, you can submit an appeal before October 9 at 8 pm.
For information about how to request a targeted review, please refer to the 2022 Targeted Review User Guide (PDF).
Your findings can also help AMA and TMA advocate against Medicare physician payment cuts in 2024. Practices are urged to share de-identified score and corresponding payment adjustment information.
This will inform our understanding of the impact of MIPS on physician payment in 2024 and can help us in our conversations with the administration and Congress. Please share your information by emailing the AMA Advocacy staff at ama.advocacy@ama-assn.org.
Physicians can view their 2022 MIPS Performance Feedback information on the Quality Payment Program (QPP) website using their HCQIS Access Role and Profile (HARP) credentials. The CMS Payment Adjustment User Guide (PDF) walks through the process of accessing and downloading performance feedback.
