A memorable evening Camp Newaygo event brings dads, daughters together
There were dads and granddads. Some were dressed up and others were more casual. And they all shared quality time with daughters and granddaughters at Camp Newaygo’s seventh annual Daddy Daughter Dance.
The February 11 event drew 266 people to Lang Lodge in Newaygo, an evening with dancing, music, snacks, crafts, pampering and dinner.
Mark Bulk attended with his daughter, Kayden. He said: “There’s so much to do here, and it gives the kids a great experience to show what a real date should be like.”
For Kayden, her favorite part was “dancing with her dad.”
Matt Hendrie brought his daughter, Paisley, for the fourth time.
“It’s something where I can teach my daughter what she should be treated like, and sort of set the bar high for the boys once she gets of age,” he said.
Paisley said she “likes coming with her papa.”
