PSC Alumni/Student Networking Event
On Friday, October 14, the PSC Department hosted the 12th UNCG PSC Alumni/Student Networking Event from 6:00-10:00 pm. Suspended for two years due to Covid, we were glad to be able to host another event which is restricted to UNCG Political Science majors who are juniors and seniors. Between two receptions, paid for by the alumni, was a series of panel sessions with UNCG PSC Alumni, each talking about their current occupation and
responsibilities. There were door prizes, plenty of food, and lots of great conversation, between PSC Faculty, PSC Students, and PSC Alumni. Alumni from a wide geographic area, as well as a wide range of professions, shared their thoughts and experiences.

Letters of Recommendations
Faculty members are happy to write recommendations for their best students. You should ask a faculty member who knows you well and will be able to provide a letter with some detail about your abilities and accomplishments. Whenever possible, please give the faculty member a copy of your Statement of Purpose (or whatever explains your goals) and plenty of time to prepare the letter before the deadline. Please understand that a well-written letter of recommendation takes time.
