Council Celebrates Successful Fall Regional Training
The National Health Care for the Homeless Council held its 2015 Fall Regional Training in Philadelphia, PA, on October 15th and 16th. Overall, our audience gave positive reviews to both the content presented and the faculty. At this Regional Training, we offered attendees a chance to visit two local HCH grantees, the Mary Howard Health Center and Project HOME, in addition to the workshops. We extend our gratitude to those grantees as well as PHMC for allowing us to use their beautiful venue. The 2016 Spring Regional Training will be held in Denver, CO, at the end of March.

The bill, which has received bipartisan support, aims to alter rules related to Section 8 Vouchers and other federal housing programs. Later in the week, The Future of Housing in America: 50 Years of HUD and its impact on Federal Housing Policy examined the work of HUD and ways to improve service delivery. Both of these hearings contained important conversations that could potentially change the shape of federal housing policy in the future.
