Reminder: Quality Matters Workshop |
We will be running the online, two-week asynchronous version of the Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) workshop September 4-18, 2024. All faculty and staff are invited to participate at no cost. Although the workshop is asynchronous, there are two firm deadlines. Participants can expect a 10-12 hour time commitment throughout the two weeks.
Haven’t heard of Quality Matters? It is an independent organization that publishes research-based standards in course design in higher education.
Contact Laurie or Alison if you are interested in attending the workshop or have any questions about QM in general: lbl@gwu.edu or alisonmcguire@gwu.edu

You may have heard about Flip, a Microsoft-owned platform for video-based class discussions. Unfortunately, Microsoft has decided to retire Flip and instead integrate some of its functionalities into MS Teams. The Flip website and mobile app will be retired on September 30, 2024.
We have previously recommended Flip as a tool to try. If you have been using it, please reach out to any of us to talk about alternative options.
