2017 Report to the Citizens of Orange County
2017 Report to the Citizens of Orange County
I am excited to unveil the Clerk’s 2017 Report to the Citizens of Orange County. We compile this report each year so that citizens of Orange County can see the work we do each day to support the Court and serve our customers. It’s an opportunity to look back at our many accomplishments during the past year.
The report contains important information on the budgetary health of this office, statistics related to case filings and the customers served, expansion of services, and our commitment to enhance customer service.
Of course, all of our success would not be possible without the dedicated staff who work to increase our efficiency and elevate our customer service. I hope you will take a moment to read our report.

Legal Matters Forum Focuses on Confidentiality of Court Records
Attendees began filing into the Jury Room of the courthouse early on March 9th, in advance of our Legal Matters Forum. Many were eager to learn more about how our office manages court records through a presentation entitled Court Records: What’s Confidential and What’s Not.
During the 90-minute discussion, members of my staff discussed the laws we must follow when determining what information is confidential and what information is public record. In addition, we walked the audience through the process of requesting certified documents from our office, as well as how to navigate our my eClerk website.
If you weren’t able to attend the forum, you can check out a series of short videos from the event on our YouTube channel. Each video is a minute or two in length and highlights a particular part of the confidentiality process.

April Star Performer
Congratulations to deputy clerk Brenda Sexton for being selected as the Clerk’s April Star Performer. Brenda is a member of our Winter Park/Goldenrod team, and like all branch employees, has broad knowledge of many of the services we provide. Brenda was nominated by a team member, in part, for her constant search for increased efficiency.
“Brenda uses her knowledge of processes, measures and workflows to improve customer service and employee focus,” a team member commented. “She is constantly willing to assist her team amid her own tasks.”
