Intern Spotlight: Linda Pozen
Linda (she/her) is a Mental Health Therapy Intern and is in her final year of her Masters in Social Work program with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Linda has a BA from Marquette University and has experience working with adults and families with histories of or actively experiencing trauma, sexual violence, systemic oppression and being unhoused. Her approach to therapy is rooted in intersectional feminism, antiracism and fat positivity.
Linda prioritizes forming a therapeutic relationship and providing a safe, affirming and open space for clients through active listening, validation and a person-centered approach. She believes that relationships and community are where transformative healing can take place.
In her free time, Linda enjoys all things nerdy, especially Dungeons and Dragons, as well as gardening, taking care of her houseplants, hiking, playing video games and spending time with her pets.
