| Pool Area Construction Update
The team continues to make great progress on the pool area! Crews have been working hard preparing the site, and we’re excited to share that the first concrete pour is scheduled for Monday, March 16.
This is an important milestone in the construction process and marks the next major step toward bringing the refreshed pool area to life. While the official construction schedule shows the pool area reopens on June 10, our project team remains optimistic that the timeline will be accelerated, and they will continue looking for opportunities to move the schedule forward whenever possible.

We appreciate everyone’s patience as work continues and look forward to sharing additional updates.

New Mailroom – Upcoming Transition
We are excited to share that the new mailroom is nearly ready! Most residents’ new mailbox keys and box numbers have been delivered in envelopes to the temporary mail trailer mailboxes for pickup. Please note that your mailbox number will change.
The transition to the new mailboxes will begin on Monday, March 23, and all new mail will be delivered to the new mailboxes starting that day. There will be an approximately one-week overlap period during which both the old and new mailboxes will remain available to allow for a smooth transition.
If you have not already done so, please stop by the temporary mail trailer to pick up your envelope containing your new mailbox key and number. When picking up your envelope, please ensure the address on it matches your home address.
If you are out of town and unable to pick up your keys before the temporary trailer is removed, please visit the Carbondale USPS. Be sure to bring a photo ID and a piece of mail showing your address.

Frances Update: One Year Already! |
It's been one year since our Director of Ranch House Operations, Ali Anderson and her husband Jeff, welcomed their daughter, Frances.
Ali says "I can’t believe Frances is already 1 year old! She’s a happy, active baby whose favorite things are being outside, reading books, and eating strawberries. She’s been walking for a couple of months now and keeps her parents — and her golden retriever brother — on their toes".
Frances loves to wave and say “hi!” to anyone around her. She also gives the best hugs… for about five seconds, before she’s ready to be back on the ground running again!

Fire Safety Tip | Simple Upgrades for a Safer Home |
|
|
Did you know that small home maintenance upgrades can help reduce fire risk? Installing metal gutter guards can prevent dry leaves and debris from collecting in your gutters, materials that could ignite if embers land there during a wildfire. Choosing a fine mesh size of 1/8 or 1/16 inch helps block embers while still allowing water to flow through. As a reminder, do not screen dryer vents with 1/8 or 1/16 inch fine mesh as this can increase the likelihood of fire.
It’s also a good idea to install screens over attic and crawlspace vents to help keep embers from entering your home. While you’re thinking about airflow, regular HVAC vent and duct maintenance is another smart step. Cleaning vents and removing dust buildup helps improve efficiency and reduces potential fire hazards.
A few simple maintenance steps can go a long way toward protecting your home while keeping everything running smoothly year-round.

The recent stretch of warm weather signals that tennis is around the corner. RVR's maintenance crew is already hard at work. The clay courts are a favorite among members and are considered some of the finest facilities in the valley. Preparing the five Har-Tru courts is a detailed process that requires significant effort from the RVR grounds crew. Crews often face challenges such as cold and wet weather early in the season, but their work ensures the courts are ready for play.
|
|
|
The reconditioning of the clay courts includes several steps: cleaning, leveling, top dressing, rolling, and lining the courts. Click here to learn more about these five steps and how the process unfolds. Updates will be shared in the weekly news.

Protecting Common Area Turf |
|
|
|
As we transition out of winter, our lawns and the irrigation systems beneath them are especially vulnerable to damage. The ground is still soft from snowmelt, and parking on the grass can easily cause ruts or impact the irrigation lines below.
Please help us keep the community looking its best by reminding contractors, visitors, and household members to avoid parking or driving on grassy areas throughout RVR. A little extra care this time of year goes a long way in protecting our shared spaces. Thank you for helping keep RVR beautiful!

This winter has been unusual. With low snowpack and warm spells, early signs of spring are appearing across the valley. "Daffodils and spring parsley are blooming down valley. Chickadees and juncos are active during milder days." These changes raise good questions: What happens to small mammals that normally live beneath the snow? Are black bears waking early? While experts don't always agree on the effects of temperature and snowpack, most agree that daylight is the primary cue that guides winter behavior in animals.
Before exploring how wildlife responds, it helps to understand a few key terms related to winter survival.

|
Now that the golf course has reopened, walking on the course is no longer permitted. Please remember to keep your dogs leashed at all times and be sure to clean up after your pet.
We have received feedback concerning dogs chasing mule deer on the course. We implore homeowners to keep their pets away from the local wildlife and don’t forget — Carbondale’s leash laws apply in RVR.

Carbondale Advances Wildfire Preparedness |
|
|
The Town of Carbondale is using new, advanced wildfire modeling to better understand how wildfire could spread through our community and how to reduce risk. To make the modeling as accurate as possible, residents are asked to complete a quick, voluntary home survey. The information will only be used for wildfire planning (not inspections or enforcement), and participants can be entered to win local prizes. Click here to take the survey.

Block F and Block A Painting Contract Inclusion Policy |
|
|
At the January RVRMA board meeting, the Board of Directors discussed a proposed amendment to the Painting Contract Inclusion Policy for Block F (Old Town) and Block A (The Settlement).
The Old Town Advisory Committee requested the removal of the obligation to fund a $750 siding repair allowance requirement, while The Settlement’s policy was revised for clarity and retains the allowance.
The draft policy has been available on the RVRMA website homepage. Questions or feedback may be directed to Ashley Lynch at ashley.lynch@rvrma.org who can share all communications with the Executive Board of Directors.
The board will vote on the amended policy at its March meeting.
