From campus involvement to community engagement, there are countless ways to shape a unique undergraduate experience. In the June module, titled Make Way for Connections (now open!), we’ll explore the many pathways to finding your place, people, and purpose both at Tulane and in New Orleans.
You’ll have the entire month to complete the module at your own pace. It’s available now on your Canvas dashboard and is due by June 30.
Important reminder: If you haven't completed the May module yet, please do so prior to beginning the June module in preparation for your summer advising appointment.

At Tulane, we are committed to creating a welcoming and respectful campus community. This commitment begins with understanding how to interact with people from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We expect all members of our community to be mindful of these dynamics and to take active steps to ensure that everyone feels valued, heard, and supported.
In the June module, you’ll find key terms and scenarios to help you begin thinking about how we collectively shape our campus environment. We'll discuss these more during your on-campus orientation in August.

|
Below are just a few of the checklist items to complete in June:
|
-
Check your Tulane email for a Welcome to Advising at Tulane message from the first-year advising team.
- Register for a June or July summer advising appointment (Top Scholars, Altman Scholars, Student Athletes, and Transfer students will not need to attend these sessions).
- Complete the pre-advising checklist (found in the May module) prior to your summer advising appointment.
-
June 3-18: Request a roommate through the Housing Portal.
-
June 3: The Dining Plan Portal opens. Please review or change your dining plan. The last day to change your dining plan without being charged a fee is August 22.

Curious who else from your area is headed to Tulane this year? Well, wonder no more by attending a Hello Wave reception for incoming students and families! These in-person events allow you to connect in your hometown with past, current, and future Tulanians before heading to campus.
Many events include Tulane representatives from Newcomb-Tulane College, Student Affairs, and Alumni Relations who will be available to answer your questions as you get ready to join the Tulane family. When possible, current Tulane student leaders attend as well to answer your student life questions and more (they're certainly the experts on all things Tulane!).

Hello Wave receptions will take place from mid-June through early August. Check out the complete list and register for a Hello Wave event near you below. More events will be added throughout the summer, so check back later if you don’t see one in your area. We hope to see you there!
