It has been wonderful seeing the return of several student groups — including fall student-athletes, resident assistants and others — over the past two weeks. We look forward to celebrating the start of the new academic year at tomorrow’s Chancellor’s Celebration!

Home of Wisconsin’s largest business school, UW-Whitewater produces graduates in finance and accounting who go on to work in banking and personal finance across the region. Chancellor Corey King and Willie Warhawk stopped at PremierBank in Whitewater this past spring to celebrate the university’s mutually beneficial relationship with the bank as part of our Mascot on Main campaign.

Chancellor’s Opening Celebration set for tomorrow
|
All faculty and staff are invited to attend the annual Chancellor’s Opening Celebration at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, in the James R. Connor University Center Hamilton Room. A campus cookout will follow the program in the University Center. Celebrate all the successes of the university and its team members from the 2024-25 academic year and engage in discussions about the upcoming year.

| “Ask A Warhawk” on Sept. 2-3
|
UW-Whitewater students, faculty and staff will be stationed at “Ask A Warhawk” booths on Tuesday-Wednesday, Sept. 2-3, between 7:45 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. in three locations on Starin Road, which runs through the center of campus. Students can get their questions answered about anything on the Whitewater campus and enjoy quick snacks, school supplies, fun swag and a first-day-of-school photo booth.

|
Two UW-Whitewater students earned induction into Nu Lambda Mu, an international honor society for students graduating from academic programs in nonprofit management, following the 2024-25 academic year.

Student-athletes recognized for academic, athletic success
| A total of 31 Warhawk student-athletes were recognized as Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators, including seven who were named Academic All-American.

More than 400 student-athletes at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater earned a spot on the 2024-25 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Scholastic Honor Roll.
