Â
New "Translations" tab on dashboard
The dashboard now contains a new tab labeled “translations.” This new tab shows the human translation status for all available languages (Spanish, Chinese, and Filipino).Â
|
You will see one of the following statuses:
|
With this addition, the dashboard can be filtered by:
- Content type
- Published status
- Language
- Related departments
- Author
- Translation status
|
|
|
Mark outdated translations
There is a new button at the bottom of the page where you can now indicate when content has been updated and needs new translations. Â
|
If you change the English-language content after a translation has been published, you can “Mark translations as outdated” and leave a note that indicates what changed.
Â
Digital Services will evaluate the changes and decide if the page needs to be sent to our vendor for retranslation.
|
Image alt text
Alt text is now available for images on event cards. Additionally, address location maps are now decorative images and do not require alt text.
|
Misc. updates
- Campaign templates now have the SF.gov navigation header

DID YOU KNOW?
Today's publishing tip
|
Write descriptive alt text for images
If you want to upload an image to SF.gov, you must add "alternative text" to go with the image. This is text that screenreaders will read out loud.
Â
When writing your alt text, think about you would describe the image to someone who could not see it, and what you want them take away.
Â
Read more about writing descriptive alt text for your images.
