You may know of Qualtrics as a powerful survey tool. But did you know it can do much more? With functions like scoring, branching, variables, and tables of contents, Qualtrics is customizable for all sorts of projects.
We used Qualtrics to take a paper-based rubric with 391 items and make it electronic with automatic scoring. It also included a table of contents to allow faculty to jump around the sections as students completed the activity.
We have also used Qualtrics as a mini learning management system for non-GW learners to provide a self-paced training program that tracked their progress.
Have an idea for a project that involves some data collection, but isn’t quite right for Blackboard or the other usual tools? Reach out to lbl@gwu.edu. We’d be happy to talk about it.
