Taiji Chicken or Feldenkrais® Egg?
Instructor Oliver Reimer writes:
I first learned about the Feldenkrais Method® of somatic education from a Taiji (Taichi) teacher — it was love at first sight. Ever since I’ve explored how these two practices can enhance each other.
In ATM® we lie on the floor exploring novel movement patterns. We get up and we feel some lovely changes - new awareness of how we can move with greater ease. A few minutes later we return to “civilian” life and our lifetime of movement habits takes over. We have had a nice time on the floor and learned to appreciate our capability for easy movement but sometimes it seems that we leave a lot on the mat.

Board Corner
2024 looks to be an exciting year for FGNA.
The Guild surveyed all the committees to find out what they would like to see for upcoming year from the Board as well as within their committee.
Three main items were the theme in many of the responses: Support and Communication with 1) New graduates, 2) membership in general, and 3) volunteers within the organization.
We are looking at options for the year ahead to improve on these items. Plans for a community Café is pending as well as Quarterly Cafés from the Board of Directors.
We are excited about the new membership website. It is proving to be easier to use and provides us with many new features. It is one way members can chat and provide updates within “My Feed”. As practitioners renew, we are seeing more updates on profile pictures. If you have yet to update your profile, please give it a try. It is much easier to do now!
Our most recent update from our CFO, Ryan Black is positive. FGNA is on target financially for 2024. We are proud to announce this will be the 3rd year in a row FGNA is in the black after a long history of financial instability and overspending.
