On Wednesday, the Brebeuf community was delighted with songs of inspiration as our Varsity Singers and Chamber Orchestra presented Acoustic Sounds in the Brebeuf Chapel. Thank you to all of those that came out to support the performing arts at Brebeuf Jesuit.

Student Spotlight
Julia Phillips '19
Loves About Brebeuf I love the student-teacher relationships that are made at Brebeuf. I could sit for an hour in the English office and have a conversation about the most random thing with a teacher. It’s that type of culture that truly makes Brebeuf unique.
Future Plans I have wanted to be an architect since I was ten years old. I have always dreamed of becoming an architect to create or redesign spaces or buildings to make them more accessible for people with disabilities. This year I applied to nine architecture schools, mostly out of state. Sorry, mom.
Favorite Class AP Physics has to be my favorite class. Mr. Rott always knows how to spice up my day with either a Nerf gun pointed at the class or some really loud noises. I feel like his style of teaching always keeps the class engaged and on the edge of our seats.
Teams & Co-Curriculars - Executive Student Council
- Lacrosse (9th-11th)
- Admissions Ambassador
- National Honor Society
Random Facts - Everyone in my household has a different last name.
- I sleep with my eyes open.
- I’m lactose intolerant, but my favorite thing to eat is La Piedad queso.
What is your current favorite show or series on tv, Netflix, etc? I’m currently watching the Ted Bundy Tapes. However, my favorite shows would have to be Criminal Minds or maybe Blacklist.
What is the silliest/most irrational fear you have? My most irrational fear is throwing up.
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be? Potatoes - there is a potato for every occasion. There’s french fries, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, potato chips, and so much more.

Black Student Union Sponsoring Movie Night on Thursday, February 14
The Black Student Union will sponsor a movie night on Thursday, February 14 in the Efroymson Auditorium from 4:00- 6:00 p.m. Students will view "The Hate U Give," which is based on the best-selling novel by Angie Thomas. It tells the story of Starr Carter, a young African American girl who lives in two worlds: her neighborhood and the mostly white prep school she attends. This uneasy balance is challenged by issues of race, class, and police brutality. All students are encouraged to attend for the thought-provoking ideas, food, and fun.
