Employees Receive Awards for Excellence at Division Level

Seventeen DASA faculty and staff were nominated for Awards for Excellence, with four winners selected by a committee of previous winners from the division at last week’s State of the Division Address and end-of-year event in Talley Student Union.

Peterson Wins Extraordinary Spirit Award

At last week’s University Advancement awards ceremony, DASA Executive Director of Development Nicki Peterson received the Extraordinary Spirit Award, given since 2017 in honor of former Associate Vice Chancellor of Development Francine Cronin.

Panoramic Dance Project Partners with Wilson College

This spring, the Panoramic Dance Project’s spring concert featured a new collaboration with Wilson College of Textiles Associate Professor Anne Porterfield.

NC State Juntos Leads National Training

Diana Urieta, National Juntos’ director and co-developer, and Bianca Wall, a national trainer and Juntos program consultant based at NC State, recently traveled to Lafayette, Indiana, to give a three-day training on the Juntos Program.

Emily Vespa Wins Student Media’s Dean Phillips Award

Emily Vespa is the recipient of the Dean Phillips Award for General Excellence for the 2023-2024 academic year. This is the top award for Student Media.

Our Extraordinary Pack Appreciation Week

This year’s Our Extraordinary Pack Appreciation Week is set for May 5-11. The week will include themed days Monday through Friday with various events geared towards employee appreciation. Units and colleges are also encouraged to take pictures and send them to hrcommunications@ncsu.edu throughout the week.
