From the Dean

The academic year closes with a series of award ceremonies honoring outstanding faculty, staff and students. This month’s newsletter highlights those in the college who’ve been recognized by the university for inspirational work and achievements.
Five of the patents awarded to Clemson faculty came from our college. These covered a wide spectrum of focus areas - automotive engineering, bioengineering, chemical engineering and environmental engineering.
We also had five faculty and staff recognized by the university for achievement and service. These accolades reflect the breadth and depth of the research and academic enterprise of the college, and they celebrate the amazing folks who work so hard to make it all happen. We would not be able to provide such exciting and transformative experiences without the financial support and guidance of our alumni and friends of the college. We celebrated some of these partners at our spring soiree a few weeks ago. Photos from the event are posted here. If you’d like to become a member of this special group, you’ll find giving information here.
I hope that all of our faculty, staff and students have a relaxing summer. Thank you for your commitment and support. The May issue of IDEAS marks the beginning of the summer hiatus for the newsletter. We’ll see you again in August.
